After all the severe weather and heavy rain this month my combined windvane & anemometer stopped working. i did my usual thing of taking it down from it's pole, dissassembling the unit and blowing warm air from a hairdryer over it for about half an hour until it started working again. I lost about a day and a half's readings and I'm not convinced it was recording the direction correctly when it was recording. This is my third unit to date. None of them have lasted more than a year, so it looks like I will be ordering a fourth unit shortly.
